Health and Physical Education

Health and Physical Education is concerned with total health of the learner and the community. Besides physical health, it includes mental and emotional health of the learners. Health is often a state of physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The aim of Mainstreaming Health and Physical Education is to enable the student to attain an optimum state of health, by incorporating each of the aforementioned aspects. In this respect, it is a truism to say that the practice of healthy living will serve as the foundation for Physical Education. It is envisaged that any effort to promote aesthetic values at the school level will include a natural esteem for physical well-being. The mastery of the body, its powers and qualities, requires knowledge, methodical training and exercise. The skills and capacities need to be developed, the muscles and nerves trained, the senses cultivated and hygienic and proper dietary habits inculcated for this purpose. Therefore, provision has to be made much more systematically than before, in RAJEEV KORE BRIGHT FUTURE PUBLIC SCHOOL, SANGLI for Health and Physical Education imbued with Life Skills by introducing games like Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Volleyball, Cricket, etc.

National level achievement.

Rugved Ambe, a talented athlete from Maharashtra, achieved a significant milestone by winning a gold medal at the 39th National Junior Athletics Championship held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Competing in the Boys Under-16 Medley Relay, Rugved and his team secured victory with an impressive time of 2.01 minutes. This accomplishment highlights Rugved’s dedication to athletics and brings pride to his team and supporters. Rugved and his team clinched the gold medal with an impressive time of 2 minutes and 1 second. This achievement highlights Rugved’s dedication and the rigorous training he underwent to excel at the national level. His performance not only brought pride to his home state but also set a benchmark for his peers in the athletics community

Kho-Kho

Playing Kho-Kho keeps children well, strong, motivated, enthusiastic and young. It helps in better coordination and flexibility. Kho-Kho helps the children to off depression, anxiety, stress, and increase self-esteem. It develops team spirit and leadership skills. Kabaddi makes your body stronger and healthier, gives a fighter instinct. The chanting of the name kabaddi helps your internal organs, your heart, your lungs to become more strong and healthy.

Badminton

Playing Badminton improves coordination, flexibility and balance of our students because of the agility that is required to aim correctly. It also helps reduce stress and anxiety.

Netball

Netball is a fast-paced, team sport played by two teams of seven players on a rectangular court. The objective is to score goals by shooting the ball through a raised hoop within a designated goal circle. Players have specific positions with restricted movement areas, emphasizing teamwork, passing, and strategy. It is especially popular in Commonwealth nations and is played at both amateur and professional levels.

Athletics

Athletics is a collection of sporting events that involve running, jumping, throwing, and walking. It includes track events like sprints and marathons, field events like long jump and javelin throw, and combined events like decathlons. Athletics is one of the oldest sports, dating back to ancient Greece, and is a major part of global competitions like the Olympics. It emphasizes speed, strength, endurance, and technique.

Kabaddi

Kabaddi holds a special place in our college as a sport that promotes strength, strategy, and teamwork. Our college actively encourages students to participate in kabaddi by organizing intercollegiate tournaments, training sessions, and sports events. With a well-equipped sports facility and dedicated coaches, students receive proper guidance to enhance their skills and physical fitness.

Yoga

Yoga is an integral part of student life at Ganpatrao Arwade High School, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.Regular yoga sessions are conducted to improve concentration, reduce stress, and enhance overall health. Students learn various asanas, breathing techniques, and meditation practices. These activities help instill discipline, inner peace, and a balanced lifestyle from a young age.
